pray

Pray Psalm 107 in your own words -- something like this:

We give thanks to you Lord, for You are good, for your steadfast love endures forever!
We, the redeemed, say that You have redeemed us from trouble, and gathered your people from all the lands of the earth -- from the east, west, north and south.
Some of us wandered like people without a home, hungry and thirsty, our souls fainted.  Then we cried to You, Lord, in our trouble, and You delivered us from our distress. You led us straight to a place to live.  We thank You, Lord, for Your steadfast love, for your wondrous works to us.  You satisfied our longing souls and filled our hunger with good things.12 1314 15
Some of us lived in darkness, near death, like prisoners chained to our the afflictions that came because we rebelled against Your words, God, and spurned your counsel. You bowed our hearts down with hard labor until we fell down, with no one to help us. Then when we cried to You in our trouble, You delivered us from our distress. You brought us out of darkness and the shadow of death, you broke off all our self-inflicted chains. So we thank You, Lord, for Your wondrous works to us. Thank you for shattering all the doors and breaking all the bars that kept us from Your goodness.
Some of us were just fools in our sinful ways, and we suffered for our sin.  We lost our appetites for good and life-giving things until we felt we were near to death. Then we cried to You, Lord, in our trouble.  You sent out Your word and healed us, and delivered us from the destruction we had caused. We thank You, Lord, for Your steadfast love and for all of your wondrous works to us.  In thanks, we offer back to You acts of thanksgiving and we sing songs of gratitude for everyone to hear.
Whenever we cry to You, Lord, in our distress, in uncontrollable disaster, in destruction of our own making, You deliver us from our distress.  You still the storms and hush the waves and bring us rest beside quiet havens of still water. We thank You, Lord, for Your steadfast love, for all of Your wondrous works to us.  We will lift high Your praises and shout Hallelujah when we gather together. Help us to always give thanks for Your deep love.
Amen.
